Prevent, Manage and Reverse Chronic Illnesses


More than 80% of chronic conditions can be prevented. Improving our lifestyle choices can dramatically reduce the risk of developing these diseases and can help manage and reverse them if they've already developed, even when there is family history. When your health is regained, not only can medications be stopped, your quality of life improves significantly.

Despite being Singapore's top killer, 80% of heart disease, especially coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, hypertensive heart disease and stroke are preventable by lifestyle factors such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, substance use (alcohol, tobacco, etc).

You'll be coached to take on personalised healthy habits to slow, stop and reverse the build up of atherosclerotic plaque, restore arterial flexibility / vasodilation, reduce inflammation and reverse the disease.

One of main precursors of heart attacks, stroke, kidney failure, vision loss and nerve damage. Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes and insulin resistance can be slowed and reversed with the radical adoption of healthy lifestyle choices.

For example, since fat accumulation in skeletal muscles and liver cells is a primary cause of insulin resistance, we can use a whole-foods plant predominant eating pattern and physical activity to restore insulin sensitivity.

High cholesterol, especially small dense LDL particles and triglycerides contribute significantly to cardiovascular disease. Clients are coached to gradually and naturally reduce VLDL, sdLDL, LDL, ApoB, triglycerides and increase HDL levels to prevent, stop and reverse atherosclerosis – with lifestyle modifications in eating pattern and exercise.

Sustained high blood pressure can lead to cardiovascular disease. Clients are coached to gradually, naturally and sustainably reduce blood pressure and restore blood vessel flexibility / vasodilation, with the aim of safely weaning off medication.

Hypertensive heart disease can be prevented with good nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep and more.
Fatty liver can be caused by intake of excessive saturated fats (meat, dairy, oils) / refined carbohydrates (sweetened and processed foods and drinks), an dysfunctional, leaky gut or excessive alcohol consumption.

Clients are coached to start a healthful eating pattern to prevent, stop and reverse the root causes of fat accumulation at the liver which causes inflammation, liver damage, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
A precursor of many diseases and disorders, inflammation can be caused by pathological, environmental or lifestyle / metabolic factors. The latter can be addressed by one or more of these: obesity, diet high in processed foods, refined sugars, trans fats, and saturated fats, sedentary lifestyle, sustained stress, disrupted sleep, alcohol, smoking and vaping. 

It is important to replace these sources of inflammation with anti-inflammatory choices and habits. This can even help with the management of certain autoimmune conditions.
Gout is a painful yet common lifestyle-related disease in Singapore. Clients are coached to gradually and naturally reduce uric acid levels prevent, stop and reverse gout – with lifestyle modifications in nutrition and exercise.

Many people, including doctors, hold wrong beliefs about the foods that lead to uric acid accumulation. If left untreated, gout can lead to joint damage, kidney disease and heart problems.
Erectile dysfunction is often an early clinical indicator of latent cardiovascular disease that is already affecting the entire circulatory system.

The onset of blood flow-related ED typically precedes the first symptoms of coronary artery disease by two to five years – providing a critical window of opportunity for cardiovascular risk reduction and reversal through adopting new healthful habits.

The LHCP is designed to put health back into your hands by coaching you to incorporate evidenced-based lifestyle medicine practices into your life.

In this way, you get lasting health transformation and restoration – not just symptom management.
Lifestyle medicine is an evidence-based medical specialty that applies therapeutic lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat and reverse chronic conditions like cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity, etc.

By empowering patients to make lifestyle changes in six interconnected pillars—optimal nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, connectedness and risky substance avoidance, and other non-drug modalities, lifestyle medicine aims to eliminate the root causes of disease. And it works: studies have shown that lifestyle medicine can impact up to 80% of chronic diseases.

Lifestyle medicine based health coaching (lifestyle medicine coaching) helps you personalise and incorporate these pillars into your daily life and brings you onto the path to health.

To aid your journey, the LHCP includes a pillar called "Self-Identity" to help renew the way you think and replace unhelpful habits. This forms the 7 pillars of our health coaching practice.

Here are some commonly asked questions about the Lifestyle Health Coaching Program (LHCP).

2) When you are brought to WhatsApp, send me a message. You'll be sent a link to fill up a health questionnaire.

3) Complete the health questionnaire and scheduled for a pre-coaching session with me where you can clarify any questions you have. You will be accessed on your suitability for health coaching.
You will be coached one to one over 12 weekly or fortnightly sessions (typically). These sessions are conducted online and lasts around 1 hour each.

You should start to see signs of progress within the first 8 sessions. You would start to feel a sense of achievement in your journey thus far and confidence in your journey to come.

Come the 12th session, you would have established new healthful lifestyle habits and be well on your way towards lasting change.
Health coaching works differently than consulting a doctor or a nutritionist. It is not about prescribing and telling you what to do (symptom management); it is about empowering you to do what needs to be done (health transformation).

Health coaching facilitates transformation through:

  • Creating personal agency: Shifting the dynamic from "doctor fixes patient" to "patient takes charge of their health."

  • Breaking your barriers: Coach helps navigate real-life obstacles (e.g., "I know I should cook, but I'm too tired after work").

  • Accountability: Having a regular check-in encourages adherence to activity or habits you might otherwise skip.
LHCP tailors lifestyle medicine coaching to help clients reverse chronic diseases and increase longevity. General health coaching helps with general health and wellness.

As a lifestyle medicine health coach, I understand disease pathology and facilitate high-intensity lifestyle changes that are biologically required to reverse certain conditions like coronary artery disease, diabetes, hypertension, etc.

I also incorporated mindset renewal which is key to your health restoration and transformation.

In LHCP, you will be equipped with evidence-based lifestyle medicine knowledge, skill and confidence to better own your health through coaching. This is the "secret sauce" that leads to long-term health.

As the LHCP coach, I intentionally practice lifestyle medicine principles in my own life. On the other hand, most health coaches are unaware of lifestyle medicine.

The LHCP does not involve any procedure, pill, supplement, fad dieting, cleansing or mad workouts to work.
Absolutely. There is very strong clinical evidence and medical literature backing the efficacy of health coaching combined with lifestyle medicine practices (lifestyle medicine coaching) for the prevention and reversal of chronic diseases, metabolic syndrome as well as general health and wellness.

The LHCP activates clients with lifestyle medicine knowledge, skill, and confidence to manage their own health. This is the "secret sauce" that leads to long-term health.
The LHCP on its own does not require any procedure, pill, supplement, fad dieting, cleansing or mad workouts to work.

If you are on medication for chronic disease or metabolic conditions, you may check with your doctor to gradually wean them off / adjust dosage as your health improves during and after our coaching program.

Having said that, there may be items you can get to facilitate your health restoration. One such would be a body composition monitor.
There is very strong clinical evidence and medical literature backing the efficacy of lifestyle medicine based health / lifestyle medicine coaching for the prevention and reversal of chronic diseases, metabolic syndrome as well as general health and wellness. It will work.

In the impossible event where you don't see any improvement in your health metrics by the end of the coaching program even though you have fully incorporated the relevant lifestyle changes into your daily life, you will get a 50% refund of the fee paid.
